Insomnia is caused by a certain type of element produced inside your brain to keep you awake and away from feeling sleepy. Most cases happen when the person’s age is high, the tendency of elders to suffer from insomnia is very likely, however everybody can have insomnia, even young people and children. Anxiety and constant worries/stress are also recorded to be the major causes of insomnia. External causes are available, including the act of consuming stimulants such as heroin, cocaine, caffein…some beverages can cause temporary insomnia such as coffee or densed tea.

The question that many of us are asking is: “How to deal with insomnia?”. This can be a very disturbing condition since it cause you fatigue and will eventually lead to other consequeces which are more harmful. If the case is constant insomnia, there might have been something wrong with your psychological health. Try to stop thinking about stresses and pressures in your life for a while, maybe taking a trip is a good way to get rid of these burdens. Free yourself from any kind of anxiety is the best way. You might also want to try therapies such as zen or yoga to relax your body and get it to a smooth sleep.

Using special food which helps to calm your mind and make you feel sleepy is another option. A cup of warm milk is the best known way to get you to sleep. Eating lotus seeds can be a great choice when cooked until softened. These types off food will not only help you with your sleeping habit, but also can calm yourself from anxiety and prevent future insomnia.
